Collier Webb are designers and makers of luxury lighting, furniture and hardware for the world’s most beautiful interior spaces. The site brings imagery to the forefront and uses refined design details to create elegant and elevated environments to present the products, whilst delivering a seamless user experience. I was the creative lead on the project and responsible for overseeing the digital brand evolution, website design, and art direction of product imagery.

The updated product imagery made a significant impact on the site, which we addressed across all categories (lighting, furniture, hardware and mirrors). A challenge was that the existing imagery had all been shot very inconsistently (different angles, scale, backgrounds, and types of shots) but due to the bespoke nature of the products, they were not available to reshoot. We pivoted and turned our attention to repro: cutting out all products and placing onto a consistent soft grey background, editing lighting so there’s a single light source, and achieving a uniformity in scale and cropping as best as possible. Additionally we applied consistency across light-on/light-off states to achieve the hover effect on the website of the light "turning on" when hovering on the thumbnail image.
Another aspect of the brief was to showcase the brand’s craft through the lens of their foundry and workshop. Underscoring the bespoke nature of their products and the handcrafted quality of each item, we highlighted content and media from the foundry that gives users a peek behind the curtain at some truly artisanal processes.
